MLK CommUNITY Breakfast to be Held January 15, 2027

Building Connections & Honoring Legacy Through Youth Leadership and Community Collaboration

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Belmont Community Center and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Youth Rally announce the 2027 MLK CommUNITY Breakfast. It will be held on Friday, January 15, 2027, at the Firefighters Reception Hall (241 Victory Ln., Lincoln, NE).

A long-standing tradition, the breakfast offers space for reflection and connection. It honors Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy while urging shared responsibility.

Doors open at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast and community engagement follow. The formal program runs 7:30–8:30 a.m., focusing on legacy, leadership, and lived experience.

Proceeds will support scholarships that expand opportunities for youth, advancing learning and connection.

The MLK CommUNITY Breakfast leads into community celebrations, including the 31st Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Rally on Monday, January 18, 2027.
