Since 1995, we have aimed to honor the life and legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through Dr. Leola Bullocks’ desire to promote youth leadership, ultimately leading to the annual Youth Rally and March.

Our Mission

“The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Rally and March seeks to promote the lives and dreams of the late King, Jr. and Dr. Leola Bullock through positive youth action.”

To Date…

  • The Rally has gathered over 20,000 individuals to 'Walk Together" toward kindness, civility, justice, and equality.

  • 600+ scholars are part of the Rally planning committee alumni, including scholars from Lincoln Public Schools, Waverly, Raymond, Norris, Omaha, and Pius X.

  • The viewership for the Rally is global, including countries such as the United States, Mexico, Sudan, and England.

  • The Rally and planning committee members have received several acknowledgments for their work, including the Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education Recognition, the State of Nebraska Governor's Award, and four Inspire Journal Star award winners: Jaden Ferguson (2008-2019), Azcia' Fleming (2010-2020), Deseree Chavez, and Andrea Orozco Lopez (2020-2021). They are also NAACP Scholarship Recipients and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Diversity Community Impact award recipients.
