fullSince 1995, we have aimed to honor the life and legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through Dr. Leola Bullocks’ desire to promote youth leadership, ultimately leading to the annual Youth Rally and March.

70,000 plus engaged—in person and virtually—walking together toward kindness, civility, justice, and equality.
700+ scholars strong—the Rally Planning Committee alumni network spans Lincoln Public Schools, Waverly, Raymond, Norris, Omaha, Pius X, and extends to Georgia.
The viewership for the Rally is global, including countries such as the United States, Mexico, Sudan, and England.
Through sustained youth leadership, the Rally and its Planning Committee members have earned recognition at the local, state, and national levels. Honors include Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education recognition, the State of Nebraska Governor’s Award, and multiple Inspire Journal Star awards—highlighting scholars such as Jaden Ferguson, Azcia’ Fleming, Deseree Chavez, Andrea Orozco Lopez, Aya Ishag, and Rafa Ahmed. Members have also been recognized as NAACP Scholarship recipients and recipients of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Diversity Community Impact Award.
